The Institute for Development (IfD), in collaboration with ODI, is exploring the evolving views of Muslim religious leaders and key stakeholders on CSE over the past two decades.

Methodology:

Focus Group Discussions with Visual Timelining: The research will employ focus group discussions (FGDs) to explore the evolving views of Muslim religious leaders on CSE over the past two decades. A visual timelining tool will be utilised in these discussions to help participants recall key events in CSE.

Semi-structured Interviews with Key Stakeholders: The research will conduct semi structured interviews with key stakeholders involved in CSE. Key stakeholders include parliamentarians, relevant ministries, rights advocates, UN agencies and NGOs. These interviews will focus on gathering insight into their views on significant CSE events and developments over the last two decades.

These methods will help capture the potential challenges and opportunities in aligning CSE with the values and beliefs of Muslim communities. Read the report here.
